About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking AWS Cloud Engineer to help drive our transformation from a cloud-agnostic architecture to an AWS-optimized this pivotal role you will design and maintain secure scalable and high-performance infrastructure that powers our Healthcare and Real-World Data
(RWD) platforms - including systems that leverage NVIDIA GPU acceleration for advanced analytics AI and machine learning workloads.
The ideal candidate combines hands-on AWS expertise with a strong interest in high- performance computing automation and compliant cloud architecture for healthcare data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design deploy and optimize AWS infrastructure supporting data-intensive healthcare and RWD applications.
- Lead the migration from a cloud-agnostic setup to an AWS-first architecture emphasizing scalability performance and cost efficiency.
- Integrate and manage NVIDIA GPU-enabled compute resources (e.g. EC2 P- or G-series instances AWS Trainium/Inferentia) for AI ML and data-science workloads.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated application and infrastructure deployment.
- Collaborate with data science engineering and security teams to ensure HIPAA compliant secure and performant solutions.
- Monitor tune and cost-optimize workloads across compute storage and GPU resources.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery backup and business continuity strategies.
- Stay up to date with emerging AWS NVIDIA and AI/ML infrastructure technologies to continuously evolve our platform capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of hands-on experience designing deploying and maintaining solutions on AWS.
- Strong understanding of AWS core services (EC2 S3 RDS Lambda ECS/EKS CloudFront IAM VPC).
- Experience managing GPU-accelerated compute environments (NVIDIA CUDA GPU instances HPC).
- Proficiency with Terraform CloudFormation or similar automation tools.
- Scripting experience (Python Bash or PowerShell) for automation and tooling.
- Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines container orchestration (Docker Kubernetes ECS or EKS) and CI/CD tools (CodePipeline Jenkins GitHub Actions).
- Knowledge of security encryption and compliance frameworks relevant to healthcare (HIPAA HITRUST SOC 2).
- AWS Certification (e.g. Solutions Architect DevOps Engineer or Machine Learning Specialty) strongly preferred.
- Experience in healthcare life sciences or real-world data environments is highly desirable.
