Duration: 2 Years (Possible Extension)
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 AM 3:30 PM

Position Overview

The Supply Management Specialist I supports and may lead strategic sourcing initiatives to build and manage supplier relationships. The role involves executing supply chain planning activities ensuring supplier performance managing material replenishment processes and supporting continuous improvement in supplier quality and delivery.

This position is part of the Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) team and will require collaboration with cross-functional teams data analysis and occasional travel for supplier visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and/or lead the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
  • Build and maintain a reliable supplier base for materials products and services.
  • Monitor and ensure supplier performance related to quality delivery and compliance.
  • Lead supplier validation and performance improvement initiatives under the Product Delivery Process (PDP).
  • Facilitate supplier quality planning and corrective action follow-up.
  • Execute supply chain planning activities within established frameworks and systems.
  • Gather and analyze supply chain data using SAP or equivalent tools to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate supplier visits and audits to ensure alignment with company standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth order fulfillment and supply continuity.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in SAP and Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Associate Degree in Supply Chain Business or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a supply management or procurement role.
  • At least 6 months of SAP or equivalent ERP experience.
  • Intermediate Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Valid Drivers License (required for supplier visits).

Experience

  • 7 12 months of hands-on experience in supply management processes or systems.
  • 4 6 months of experience coordinating work or supplier tasks.

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel to suppliers for audits reviews or quarterly visits.

Education

  • Short-Cycle Tertiary Education (Associate or Technical Degree equivalent).
