Job Summary
An exciting opportunity exists for experienced and results-driven Shift Supervisors to join a leading mining operation in Rustenburg. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about production excellence safety and leading high-performing underground teams.
Requirements:
- Blasting Certificate (essential).
- Supervisory Certificate of Competency (essential).
- Grade 10 / Standard 8 (minimum educational requirement).
- Mine Overseers Certificate of Competency and Grade 12 (advantageous).
- Minimum 34 years of supervisory experience in underground stoping operations.
- Strong knowledge of mining production safety and legal compliance.
- Excellent leadership planning and problem-solving skills.
- Medically fit no criminal record and able to pass Heat Tolerance Screening (HTS).
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage production activities within the assigned underground section.
- Develop and implement daily and monthly production and safety plans.
- Guide motivate and supervise team members to ensure performance and productivity.
- Enforce compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) regulations and site procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure a safe healthy work environment.
- Monitor and optimize operational efficiency while managing costs effectively.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective measures.
- Maintain effective communication with management and report on section performance.
- Ensure team members are trained competent and equipped for their duties.
- Continuously improve mining processes and operational standards.
