Job Purpose
Responsible for leading and coordinating electrical installation wiring control and instrumentation systems fault finding and repairs on electrical systems on site and in the workshop as well as providing administrative support to the Project Manager
Conducting maintenance activities ensuring that all electrical systems are installed tested maintained and commissioned in a safe compliant and timely manner.
The role requires strong technical knowledge handson electrical skills and the ability to manage people projects and client expectations.
Required Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- N4-N6 Electrical Engineering Certificate
- ND in Electrical Engineering (Advantage)
- 3 Phase Wiremans License (IE) (Non-negotiable)
- First Aid Level 1 (Advantage)
- ORHVS Certificate (Advantage)
Required Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Schneider & Siemens electrical products would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Electrical systems functional design analyses would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Electrical systems especially MCCs Instrumentation & telemetry
- Basic knowledge of Computer Aided Design Systems and Tools.
- Basic knowledge of Soft Starters and Drives setup and commissioning.
- Knowledge of electrical equipment and tools including their designs uses repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical hazards.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and Outlook.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE
- 5-8 Years experience in electrical installations in the Electrical/Engineering or Construction environment
- 3-5 Years Fault Finding & Repairs.
- 3 years Electrical Experience in Panel Wiring.
- 2-3 Years Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role.

EXPERIENCE 3-5 years experience in Electrical areas within a construction environment. 3-5 years post experience relevant to the maintenance of electrical infrastructure including back-up generators interior & exterior lighting MV switchgear and transformers Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs) and LV building installations. 2-3 years significant hands-on experience in instrumentation instrumentation maintenance and telemetry systems. Must have troubleshooting skills on electrical infrastructure. Proven track record of electrical installation diagnostics and system commissioning. Fault Finding & Repairs.
