As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing engineering activities associated with the manufacturing process. Your role will directly impact departmental operations through effective planning and execution of tasks within an established operational framework. While you will have some autonomy your focus will be on ensuring activities align with standard functional practices and procedures. You may be required to exercise judgment in certain situations typically with guidance from established protocols or leadership.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Define and oversee production processes including the selection implementation and control of tooling and equipment to ensure efficient operations.
  • Validate design specificationsand ensure successful shop floor application of new products tools and equipment.
  • Develop expertise in technical disciplines leveraging prior experience and technical knowledge to execute policies and strategies effectively.
  • Understand key business driversand apply this knowledge to achieve individual and team objectives.
  • Collaborate across teams ensuring seamless integration of your teams work with other departments to contribute to overall business goals.
  • Exercise judgment and problem-solving skills proposing solutions outside of established parameters when necessary with guidance from leadership.
  • Utilize technical skills and analytical thinkingto address challenges and complete tasks drawing on internal resources and on-the-job training.
  • Act as an individual contributor or early-stage people leader demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to hire mentor and develop team members.
  • Provide informal guidanceand support to new team members fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering).
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience.

  • Technical proficiency with knowledge of tools systems and methodologies in manufacturing and engineering.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement identifying opportunities for optimization and operational excellence.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident U.S. Citizen have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e. a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
