Note: As of June 23 2025 Full-Time employment is 32 hours per week for an organizational wide pilot.*

Location: Winters CA with occasional coverage at our Esparto CA location.

Opportunity for commitment bonus: Up to $80000 (based on 1.0 FTE) from Partnership HealthPlan of CA for a 5-year service commitment (candidate must be new to the 24 PHP county network)

If you are viewing this on an external recruitment site please visit us at our careers page at: you were a Family Physician with Winters Healthcare you would provide care for our patients with a care team alongside one of our five care team providers. Team insert your name here includes a compassionate Medical Assistant a motivating Population Health Coach (PHC) and a designated Patient Service Coordinator (PSC) working side-by-side for your panel of patients. You will work with our Clinical Psychologists for warm hand-offs and other behavioral health consultation and support. To enhance our integrated care teams and resources for patients we also have our dental department right across the lobby as well as an on-site pharmacy.

Our services include adult and pediatric primary care chronic disease management prenatal care and minor procedures. Your day will vary from visit to visit: an 18-month-old well-child visit to a 63-year-old uninsured male with a cough to a diabetic migrant-seasonal farm worker or a 25-year-old female coming in with her first pregnancy. Each care team typically sees around 17 22 patients in an 8-hour shift and have patient panels that average around 700. We place emphasis on establishing trusting relationships while being devoted to quality health outcomes and we have the data and measures results to prove it.

The ideal candidate is a bilingual (English/Spanish) FM-MD who provides prenatal care up to 36 weeks. Additionally our ideal candidate enjoys being on a team making connections building relationships and providing health care regardless of ones insurance or ability to addition the ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to establish effective trusting relationships with patients colleagues and the community. Responsibilities:

• Communicate collaborate and work in a team-oriented environment supporting our model of care
• Provide full-scope family medicine chronic disease management minor surgeries/procedures prenatal care (low risk OB) family planning and reproductive health
• Consult with care teams as needed and act as supervising physician providing Medical Doctor oversight for mid-level providers

Qualifications:

• Current MD/DO license to practice in the state of California as well as valid DEA and CPR/ACLS/BLS;
• Ability to operate independently alongside your MA and Population Health Coach
• Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish is preferred (ability to read write and speak)
• Board eligible or board certified (within 6 months of hire)
• Strong leadership skills and dedication to serving community health care are essential.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Effective June 23 2025 annual equivalent salary range is $240000-$280000 for 32 hrs/week* and depends on experience and qualifications.
• Equivalent hourly rate for an individual working less than 32 hours/ week is $130-$160/ hour DOE and qualifications

• $1500 and 32 hours of CME/CEU allowance plus full licensure and DEA reimbursement

• NHSC Loan Eligible site (Opportunity for up to $55000 for full-time and up to $30000 for part-time in loan assistance)
  

Hours:

• 16 or 24 hours/ week with a tentative schedule of Monday 11am - 8pm and Tuesday and/or Thursday 8am - 5pm.
• We are also open to part-time candidates. Note: working 24 hours or more/ weekqualifies for full health insurance benefits.
• Beginning June 23 2025 Winters Healthcare will launch an organization-wide pilot program redefining full-time status as 32 hours per week.*
