Your role as Procurement Manager
As Procurement Manager you combine operational procurement tasks with strategic category management. On the one hand you guarantee smooth procurement processes cost efficiency and reliable suppliers. On the other hand you design and implement category strategies perform strategic analyses of financial impact and risks and translate these into clear recommendations for management.
You will work closely with the Facility Manager and act as a sparring partner for both our current Procurement & Facility Manager and procurement colleagues within the Greenyard Group. This gives you a broad and dynamic role with immediate responsibility and long-term growth opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of category strategies and prioritize procurement initiatives.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers (including staffing agencies) and manage procurement for machinery packaging materials and indirect services.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships including Key Supplier Management and performance monitoring.
- Define specifications oversee procurement administration and ensure compliance with standards and processes.
- Identify commercial opportunities and conduct cost risk and business impact analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate across departments to balance price quality and delivery reliability.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects such as potential relocation or renovation initiatives.
What you bring
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Procurement Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
- Several years of relevant experience in technical procurement (machinery packaging indirect services) preferably in FMCG.
- Proven expertise in contract negotiation supplier management and category strategy.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess costs risks and financial impact.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; confident working across diverse teams and cultures.
- Project management skills and experience with cross-functional initiatives.
- Fluency in Dutch and English (German is a plus).
- NEVI or similar procurement certification is a strong advantage.
