Kerman Contracting is seeking experienced Deputy Site Managers to deliver Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) projects for a Tier 1 client. This is a FIFO role from Perth on a 2:1 roster offering a fixed-term contract with strong potential for extension.
As a Deputy Site Manager you will report to the Site Manager /Project Manager and play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of NPI projects. You will lead the on-site team work closely with the client and maintain a high standard of safety quality and performance across the project lifecycle.
You will be personable and responsible for maintaining a positive team environment on site.

Roles Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Deputy Site Manager some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Site Manager and Project Manager with the day-to-day running of the project site ensuring works are completed safely on time according to specification and schedule and within budget. The position will also oversee and manage the on-site team including all on-site activities functions and disciplines
- Ensuring project completion following safety environmental time quality cost and HR measures
- Overseeing construction program including compiling subcontracts supply agreements and purchase orders
- Managing on-site construction works and coordinate with all site project staff and sub-contractors
- Ensuring project quality and safety standards meet OHS&E company requirements
- Performing short-term programming prepare method statement compilation and produce weekly and monthly project reports
- Providing risk assessments for construction activities and facilitate JHAs and Field Leaderships
- Providing leadership and direction on WHSE matters at the project pre-start toolbox and Client meetings
- Work closely with the Site Manager Project Manager and WHSE Manager (HO) on project-related health and safety issues and provide them with statistical reports at agreed intervals
About you:
To be successful for the Deputy Site Manager role you will have:
- Degree in Engineering Construction Management or equivalent industry
- 5 years experience in the construction industry in a similar role with a strong knowledge of full life cycle project deliverables
- Superior people management and interpersonal communications skills.
- Experience working on multiple disciplinary projects is desirable
- Schedule 26 qualification is highly desirable
*Experience delivering NPI projects across the resources sector will be highly regarded
