Key Responsibilities | ||
Reporting to Chief of Service (Clinical Oncology) Queen Mary Hospital and Cluster General Manager (Nursing) Hong Kong West Cluster the incumbent is to: | ||
1. | Lead the development and management of clinical processes and nursing practice. | |
2. | Provide expert level direct patient care to complex cases within the specialty. | |
3. | Provide clinical consultancy service and expert advice on patient care across different units and other health care professionals. | |
4. | Develop facilitate implementation and evaluation of care management plans; and innovative clinical practice models for patients with complex health needs. | |
5. | Develop and monitor key performance indicators related to the nursing specialty. | |
6. | Contribute significantly to the direction and implementation of advanced nursing education within the specialty. | |
7. | Initiate conduct and disseminate findings of locally based research findings and applies related findings in specialty. | |
8. | Initiate develop implement and evaluate strategic changes for the clinical specialty/service for the hospital cluster and /or HA. | |
9. | Provide ongoing comprehensive analyses of current practice and the impact of new directions on the clinical specialty service. | |
10. | Manage complex projects relating to significant change in nursing practice for the hospital cluster and / or HA. | |
Entry Requirements | ||
1. | Holder of a valid Registered Nurse practicing certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. | |
2. | Qualification in advanced nursing specialty *. | |
3. | 10 years or more post-registration experience of which at least 5 years is in the related clinical area. | |
* | Qualification in advanced nursing specialty refers to recognized post-registration certificate or post-graduate certificate/diploma course in nursing specialty or Master in nursing# or related discipline with considerable coverage on a relevant nursing specialty. # Only post-registration Master in nursing programmes are accepted | |
Preferable Attributes / Exposure | ||
1. | Demonstrated nursing expertise in related specialty and excellence in clinical leadership plus track record of contributions to clinical advancement professional development including research/evidence-based practice teaching and training and nursing knowledge. | |
2. | A Master degree in nursing or related discipline. | |
