Job Title: Alliance Project Coordinator
Exempt/Non-exempt: NON-EXEMPT
Immediate Supervisor: Prevention Director
Compensation Range: $58000 - $63000
Position Summary:
This full-time salaried non-exempt grant-funded position focuses on preventing alcohol nicotine marijuana prescription medication and other drug use among youth and adults in the community. The Project Coordinator supports the Drug-Free Communities grant by leading and strengthening the Community Alliance for Prevention fostering collaboration across community sectors including schools law enforcement healthcare faith-based organizations and local government. Responsibilities include coordinating coalition efforts providing guidance on assessment planning implementation and evaluation and ensuring data-driven evidence-based prevention strategies are applied. The role involves maintaining records reporting outcomes managing financial documentation conducting community outreach and supporting Alliance committees. Attendance at CADCA leadership trainings and collaboration with the broader prevention team are required to promote sustainable community-level changes that reduces youth substance use.
Essential Functions:
  1. Primarily responsible for working with and supporting a core team of school and community partners and other 360 Prevention Department staff to provide implementation of all the tasks associated with developing facilitating and evaluating an effective coalition working with the Drug-Free Communities Grant.
  2. Administer and oversee activities funded by the Drug-Free Communities grant ensuring compliance with all grant requirements and objectives.
  3. Coordinate and lead community assessments to identify local substance use trends and risk factors utilizing data to inform prevention strategies.
  4. Design and implement evidence-based prevention programs targeting alcohol nicotine marijuana prescription medication misuse and other substances.
  5. Work collaboratively with Alliance members schools and other community sectors representing the coalition and agency as determined by the Project Director at local county-wide state and national prevention levels as needed.
  6. Organize training sessions and workshops for coalition members and community partners to enhance their capacity in substance use prevention efforts.
  7. Oversee internal and external communications for the coalition ensuring consistent messaging and engagement with stakeholders.
  8. Implement evaluation tools to assess the impact of prevention programs and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  9. Compile and submit required reports to funding agencies including progress updates outcome data and financial documentation.
  10. Engage with local policymakers to advocate for policies that support substance use prevention and align with coalition goals.
  11. Build and maintain relationships with community organizations schools businesses and other stakeholders to support prevention initiatives.
  12. Assist in developing sustainability plans for the coalition including resource development and volunteer engagement strategies.
  13. Attend relevant conferences workshops and training sessions to stay informed about best practices in substance use prevention.
  14. Work closely with 360 Youth Services staff to integrate prevention efforts with other agency programs and services.
  15. Perform Other Duties as Assigned
Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
  • Understanding of evidence-based practices in preventing substance use among youth and adults.
  • Ability to conduct needs assessments and analyze data to inform program development.
  • Experience in managing grant-funded projects including reporting and compliance.
  • Skills in forming and sustaining community coalitions with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to design and deliver training sessions to various audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Experience in program evaluation and using data to drive decision-making.
  • Knowledge of local policy-making processes and advocacy strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data management software.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
Education and Experience:
A minimum of a Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g. public health social work education) or three years of applicable experience including facilitating collaborative projects with community groups. Experience in substance use prevention community organizing or coalition building is preferred.
Physical Demands and Other Requirements:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the essential duties listed in the job description satisfactorily. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Capable of operating standard office equipment including a computer and keyboard calculator typical business machines such as a fax machine and copier. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to have valid drivers license auto insurance and must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle. The work environment characteristics include a noise level which is usually low to moderate.

Able to successfully share skills and concepts with others and works effectively with others under time and environmental pressures.
  • Safety and Agency Resource Utilization: Demonstrates sound judgement and foresight in safety awareness and in daily work. Notifies in a timely manner the supervisory chain of any incidents or circumstances that need attention. Report all suspicions or allegations of abuse immediately to their supervisor. Ensures appropriate utilization of materials and resources and minimizes waste.
