What You Will Do
Provide leadership and oversight for all simulation technology IT systems and audiovisual infrastructure supporting experiential learning in the Schools of Nursing (80%) and Pharmacy (20%).
Ensure reliable operation integration and innovation of simulation technologies including simulator manikins audiovisual systems virtual/augmented reality platforms and electronic health record systems.
Support delivery of safe effective and high-quality simulation-based education aligned with national standards (e.g. INACSL Standards of Best Practice).
Manage maintain and advance simulation technology resources requiring specialized IT and operational expertise.
Ensure program sustainability accreditation alignment and equitable access to simulation learning experiences.
Mitigate risks related to downtime data breaches and compliance gaps through specialized technical and management expertise.
Collaborate with faculty students and interprofessional partners to enable evidence-based simulation practices.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Healthcare Simulation or related field (required). Masters degree preferred.
- 35 years of progressively responsible IT or simulation technology experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare environments and terminology.
- Skills in project management budget management and policy development.
- Strong problem-solving communication and leadership abilities.

Illinois Residency Requirement:Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position.
