Inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee Payroll
In this role The Payroll Specialist is part of a team responsible for processing US and Canadian payroll This includes but not limited to on-cycle pay processing create/review/maintain process documentation and knowledgebase articles train new Payroll team members and be an escalation resource for Payroll Coordinators. Support Payroll Team with projects and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
Perform activities necessary in processing payroll for all employees in the US and Canada
Process termination/severance payments and signing bonuses
Process tax adjustments and refund payments
Calculate and pay ESL payments
Coordinate payroll audits/reviews to ensure accuracy of pay and identify potential errors
Provide time & labor support to HR Ops managers supervisors and T&L users
Research and resolve payroll issues
Coordinate printing packaging and distribution of checks/advices
Complete bank activities such as pay card funding and NOC reports
Perform other duties as assigned
Shadow Leadership to enhance people management skills
Manage workload and work allocation
Maintain and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures as agreed with the client
Responsible on all day-to-day activities and people handling
Conduct payroll adjustments process off-cycle payments process voids & reissues process terminations
Coordinate payroll audits/reviews to ensure accuracy of pay and identify potential errors
Process seasonal PTO severance and relocation as assigned
Provide Time & Labor support to HR Operations Managers Supervisors and Time & Labor Users
Research and resolve payroll issues
Coordinate printing packaging and distribution of checks/advices as assigned
Yearend Activities W2s T4s etc.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in related field or commensurate experience
3 years of high volume payroll experience
Excellent customer service skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of employees
Strong analytical abilities
Proficient to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Previous experience in Workday UKG is preferred

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Experience with Workday and UKG
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification would be advantage
