Why Your Role Matters
The Student Experience Business Partner is a strategic relationship-focused role responsible for connecting faculties with central educational and student services. Acting as a trusted advisor the role ensures faculty-specific student support aligns withUniversitypriorities enhances the student experience and drives continuous improvement. The role provides insight across the student lifecyclefromtransition andenrolmentthroughto retention academic success andcompletion. The rolereports to the Head of StakeholderRelationsandhasat least one direct report.
Main Responsibilities Summary
- Providestrategic advice to faculties andDivisionalleadership on student services policies and initiatives
- Lead and support projects designed to improve service delivery operational efficiency andthestudent experience
- Drive continuous improvement byidentifyingtrends implementing innovations and collaborating with faculties and central teams
- Adapt and implement central service initiatives to ensure fit with local faculty contexts and stakeholder engagement
- ContributeDivisionalinsights to faculty planning governance and decision-making processes
- Build andmaintainstrong relationships across faculties other business partnernetworksand central teams to promote an integrated one-University approach
- Lead mentor and develop staff to optimise team capability engagement and performance
- Prepare reports analysis and recommendations to inform operational planning and strategic decisions
Who You Are
We are looking for someone whohas a strategic mindsetwho is customer-centricaligned with UNSWs vision and values bringing:
- Extensiveexperience in business partnering and stakeholder management
- Proven ability to build andmaintainstrong relationships with diverse stakeholders supporting successful outcomes and managing service-level expectations
- Experience in evaluating redesigning and improving customer service processes including setting metricsmonitoringresults and implementing enhancements
- Demonstrated ability to providestrategic advice to senior stakeholders andidentifyingpriorities for continuous improvement
- Track recordofmanaging complex projects focused on service delivery and business objectives
- Experience in leading developing and managingstaff
- Knowledgein Higher Education operations with hands-on experience in student or academic services(preferred)
- Experienceinnavigating complex organisational structures governance frameworks and matrixed or business-partnering models
- Familiaritywith service excellence principles performance metrics and human-centred design approaches

We will need the successful person tosometimesbeavailableduring the Christmas/New Year period and occasionally onweekendsandafter-hours.
