The Opportunity:

Are you a passionate early childhood educator who loves creating calm engaging and nurturing environments for preschool-aged children Rosebery OSHC is seeking a dedicated Diploma Qualified Preschool Room Lead to join our team and oversee our preschool-aged childrens program during before and after school care.

This is a permanent part time role of 20 hours minimum per week.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Preschool Room Lead you will take the lead in planning and implementing a high-quality program tailored to meet the needs of our preschool-aged children. This role combines hands-on engagement with leadership responsibilities ensuring that the learning environment is safe inclusive and developmentally appropriate.

Youll work closely with the OSHC Centre Manager the Educational Leader and a small team of educators to:

• Design and deliver engaging experiences aligned with the childrens interests and developmental stages within the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Support childrens smooth transitions between preschool and OSHC routines.
• Foster positive relationships with children families and school staff.
• Lead and mentor other educators within the preschool room ensuring consistency in practice and communication.
• Maintain a calm nurturing environment that supports emotional regulation and wellbeing.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about early childhood education and child development.
• Confident in leading a small team and taking initiative within a dynamic OSHC environment.
• Professional reliable and able to communicate effectively with families and colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) (essential)
• Current Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) (essential)
• Current First Aid CPR Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (desirable)
• Experience working with preschool-aged children (35 years)
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework.

YMCA requires that all applicants undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement including but not limited to:

• Valid Working with Children Clearance.
• Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
