Position: Education and Outreach Specialist
Location: Aliso Viejo CA
Status: Full time - Onsite - 40 hours per week
What Youll Do:
As part of a dynamic prevention and outreach team you will:
- Lead community outreach initiatives to expand access to Lauras House programs and services focusing on underserved populations.
- Collaborate with other team members.
- Deliver engaging prevention workshops to youth and adults using our H.E.A.R.T. (Healthy Attitudes and Relationships Today) curriculum.
- Coordinate our 40-hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training collaborating with community partners guest speakers and staff to train the next generation of advocates.
- Cultivate community partnerships through outreach networking events and relationship building.
- Monitor Lauras House Teen Site and respond as needed.
- Manage program data and reporting ensuring accurate tracking and evaluation of outreach efforts.
- Provide compassionate crisis intervention and digital advocacy via chat and text offering safety planning and resource referrals.
- Oversee the recruitment and administration of volunteers as needed.
- Support program growth and innovation through continuous development implementation and evaluation of prevention strategies.
- Other duties as assigned
Who You Are:

Qualifications include:
- Bachelors degree in a social science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience and passion for public speaking education or training.
- Completion of a 40-hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training (can be completed upon hire).
- Strong communication skills-both written and verbal.
- Ability to learn presentations in a timely manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint) and data management.
- Valid drivers license reliable transportation and insurance.
- Live Scan background check and drug test.

- Maintain utmost confidentiality of all client staff and agency information.
- Adhere to agency policies regarding client records safety and professional boundaries.
- Participate in agency events and represent Lauras House in the community with professionalism and compassion.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing walking talking hearing and using hands for handling objects.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Required to stoop kneel climb stairs and balance.
- Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
