About the Role

You will join a global support teamwithin GM IT APS Regulatory working in a Follow-the-Sun support modelto ensure high availability and reliability of production across regions and rapid incident response will be key to successin this role.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively monitor and enhance performance& availability across production systems (application middleware DBlayers)

Provide escalation coverage in Follow-the-Sun model

Manage capacity and performance of productionapplications

Customize and enhance production tools(monitoring batch scheduling automation deployment)

Work closely with cross-functional teams toresolve incidents and restore services quickly

Drive operational excellence by proposingperformance and capacity improvements

Technical Requirements

Hands-on experience supporting Windows & Linux/Unixenvironments

Solid knowledge of:

o WCF

o WebLogic Application Server ApacheTomcat Java EE

Monitoring / scheduling tools experience(preferably one or more):

o Geneos Introscope Dynatrace AutosysDollar Universe

Strong scripting skills (Python Perl Shell SQL)

Good understanding of ITIL processes (incidentchange release management)

Database knowledge: SQL Server & Oracle
