Job Summary

Role: Business Analyst - Workday
Duration: 6 Months Contract (W2)
Location: Portland OR (Hybrid)

Responsibilities:
Workday Implementation & Support

  • Serve as a functional analyst for one or more Workday modules including Core HCM Recruiting Talent Learning Performance Succession and Help/Today.
  • Partner with HR and IT teams to analyze design test and implement new Workday features and enhancements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional design documents and system configurations.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) prepare test scripts and ensure issues are documented and resolved.
  • Support system integrations between Workday and other enterprise applications.

Business Analysis & Process Improvement

  • Lead requirements gathering workshops and map current vs. future HR processes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and automate manual processes within Workday.
  • Support data analysis and reporting using Workdays reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Collaborate on change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with HR business owners IT developers and external vendors to manage project timelines and deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Provide end-user support create training documentation and lead knowledge transfer sessions.

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Information Systems Human Resources or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting HR technology implementations.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday HCM (preferably in implementation or optimization phases).
  • Strong understanding of HR processes including recruiting onboarding performance and learning.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Workday Report Writer Prism or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile methodologies and iterative project delivery.

Preferred

  • Workday certification in one or more modules (HCM Recruiting or Talent).
  • Experience in utilities or energy industry or similar regulated environments.
  • Proven experience with change management and process reengineering.
  • Excellent communication documentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment.
