Job Summary
Position Description:
Work Mode: Hybrid
Work Location: Ontario or Quebec
Your Role
As a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Developer you are a specialist in developing and managing resilient critical assets.
You will actively contribute to achieving our DevOps vision by integrating SRE best practices.
Concretely you will work with the Asset Manager to enhance one of the Banks most critical applications using tools and technologies from the following categories:
Your future duties and responsibilities:
At least 4 years of Java development experience
Collaboration tools: JIRA Confluence
Source code management: Git
Continuous integration servers: Jenkins 2 (pipeline as code) CircleCI
Continuous builds: Maven Groovy Ant
Continuous testing: SauceLabs Selenium
Continuous code inspection (for technical debt/security vulnerabilities): Veracode
Artifact management: Nexus
Reporting and dashboards: SonarQube
Provisioning and orchestration tools: Docker Kubernetes
Configuration and automation: Ansible Python Terraform
Application monitoring: AppDynamics Datadog or equivalent to ensure applications deliver expected business value to our clients
Assets (considered strong pluses): Continuous Deployment Automated Testing Application Monitoring Basic Docker knowledge Kubernetes Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) AWS
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Provide technical support to development teams to help them meet SLOs defined by business lines
Optimize production performance
Refine and improve Java code quality
Monitor applications and infrastructure
Recommend improvements and propose alternatives to outdated technologies within the SRE domain
