- Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Spanish language as well as principles of language acquisition and development
- Modifies and differentiates instruction to meet the varying needs of recently immigrated students native Spanish speakers and beginning Spanish language learners
- Designs and implements instruction that is interactive and incorporates speaking listening reading and writing in Spanish
- Evaluates each students progress in Spanish language knowledge and skills and uses data to plan small group and individual instruction
- Integrates technology listening devices and language learning applications to create a blended classroom environment
- Promotes the learning and growth of all students through instructional practices that establish high expectations crate a safe and effective classroom environment and demonstrate cultural proficiency.
- Promotes the learning and growth of all students through effective partnerships with families and caregivers.
- Collaborates effectively with specialists instructional coaches administrators and parents to foster positive social emotional and academic development.
- Collaborates effectively with teaching colleagues including those with expertise in modifying instruction for English language learners and students with disabilities to identify strategies that promote the success of all students in the classroom.
- Works under the general supervision of the building principal and or other designated administrator manages student behavior assesses and evaluates student achievement
- Additional duties may be assigned
