The City of Seattles Department of Finance & Administrative Services (FAS) is seeking qualified applicants for a Regulatory Licensing Representativein our Consumer Protection Division (CPD). This position works as part of a team and supports 21 regulatory licenses such as adult entertainment short-term rentals recreational cannabis false alarm billing public parking lots and garages public impounds weights and measures and addition this position is responsible for conducting taxicab for hire vehicle and limousine licensing for Seattle and King County vehicles.
This position is fast paced and works under strict deadlines and is responsible for interacting with a high volume of licensees and processing a high volume of paperwork. Work will be performed in a multicultural workplace and with diverse licensees. The division emphasizes strong collaborative communication and inclusiveness in support of department goals to promote diversity and social justice.

FAS is often the publics first interaction with the City of Seattle operating as a customer-focused front door that assists with everything from paying utilities or reporting a pothole to requesting public information or even adopting a new pet.
The 500-plus employees of FAS span across 10 divisions and work behind-the-scenes providing critical functions like managing 120 City facilitiesincluding police and fire stationsoverseeing the Citys neighborhood customer service centers and Customer Service Bureau and making sure minority-owned businesses can equitably compete for City contracts. Work Environment
This position is classified as a Customer Service Representative. It is Civil Service represented FLSA non-exempt and is eligible for overtime. The full range for this step-progression position is $32.31 - $36.17 per hour.
