Position Title: Microsoft 365 & Azure Solutions Engineer Reports to: Chief Technology Officer Position Objective: We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 & Azure Solutions Engineer to design implement and maintain secure scalable and reliable cloud solutions while managing our organizations SharePoint environment. This role requires a blend of strong technical skills in Microsoft Azure services infrastructure automation and enterprise-level SharePoint administration. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing hybrid cloud environments optimizing performance and ensuring robust security and compliance. You will work closely with IT security and business stakeholders to ensure our cloud solutions are scalable resilient and securewhile delivering an exceptional end-user experience. Essential Functions Azure Cloud Engineering - Design implement and manage Azure-based infrastructure including IaaS PaaS and SaaS services.
- Deploy and maintain virtual machines storage accounts networking and security solutions in Azure.
- Implement and manage Azure Active Directory conditional access policies and role-based access controls (RBAC).
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell
- Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and optimize cost and resource utilization.
- Ensure cloud solutions align with business continuity disaster recovery (BCDR) and compliance requirements.
SharePoint Administration - Administer and maintain SharePoint Online sites libraries lists permissions and workflows.
- Work with business units to design SharePoint solutions that improve collaboration and streamline processes.
- Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services such as Teams OneDrive and Power Automate.
- Monitor site health security and compliance settings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues including user access performance and integration problems.
- Implement governance policies to ensure a consistent secure and compliant SharePoint environment.
- Provide user training and documentation for SharePoint features and best practices.
Collaboration & Documentation - Work cross-functionally with IT security and application development teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation for configurations procedures and system changes.
- Participate in change control processes for system updates and deployments.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and infrastructure.
- 2 years of experience administering SharePoint (Online and/or On-Premises).
- Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks.
- Strong understanding of networking identity management and security in Azure.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem and integrations with SharePoint.
- Experience with backup disaster recovery and high-availability configurations.
Education and Experience: Preferred Qualifications - Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert) or MS-300 (Deploying Microsoft 365 Teamwork).
- Experience with Microsoft Teams integration and administration.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) Power Platform (Power Apps Power Automate) and related custom development.
