As a Business Development Representative you will play a key role in driving growth for our company by identifying qualifying and developing new business opportunities. You will be the first point of contact with prospective clients responsible for outreach engaging leads setting meetings and helping to build a strong sales pipeline. Success in this role will require tenacity excellent communication skills a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work closely with sales marketing and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
Research identify and target new business opportunities and markets.
Conduct outbound prospecting via phone email social media (e.g. LinkedIn) and other digital channels.
Engage with potential clients qualify leads schedule meetings for senior sales staff.
Build relationships with decision-makers understand client needs and articulate our value proposition.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activity in the CRM (e.g. Salesforce HubSpot).
Collaborate with marketing to follow up on inbound leads and assist in lead nurturing campaigns.
Achieve or exceed monthly/quarterly targets (qualified leads meetings set opportunities created).
Provide regular reporting and updates to management on pipeline status challenges and opportunities.
Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives to sharpen your selling and business development skills.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Communications or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
13 years of experience in sales development business development or inside sales (entry level candidates with strong drive and aptitude will be considered).
Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate effectively with prospects over the phone and via digital channels.
Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed.
Excellent verbal written and presentation skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting performance metrics.
Familiarity with CRM systems lead generation tools and tracking metrics.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and be a team player.
Preferred: Experience with B2B sales SaaS technology or services industry.
