Job Summary

Ohio Wesleyan University a selective private undergraduate liberal arts residential institution founded in 1842 and located just 20 miles north of Columbus is seeking candidates for the position of OWL CAMP MANAGER. This is a TEMPORARY 3 TO 5 WEEK POSITION WITHOUT BENEFITS.

We prioritize camper care staff development and smooth coordination across dorm life evening programming and supervision to ensure a positive experience for all.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Camp Manager supports the Camp Manager in overseeing overnight operations at OWL Camp. This role focuses on daily implementationassisting with supervision transitions dorm routines and evening activities. The Assistant Camp Manager helps reinforce expectations provides on-the-ground support to family group leaders and ensures camper safety and well-being.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Support the Camp Manager in overseeing overnight operations and daily camp routines

  • Monitor family group leader supervision and camper engagement during meals transitions and free time

  • Assist with dorm routines including nightly check-ins lights out and quiet hours

  • Reinforce camp policies and Core 4 values throughout daily programming

  • Provide backup during behavioral challenges and supervision needs

  • Help facilitate evening activities and Family Group sessions

  • Assist in responding to safety incidents and documenting camper concerns

  • Be visible and accessible during high-risk times (evenings transitions unstructured time)

  • Participate in camper check-out dorm tear-down and final inventory

  • Submit assigned documentation and reports by established deadlines

  • Other duties as assigned
