Financial Accountant (9-Month Fixed Term)

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a collaborative finance team within a leading firm. The role supports senior finance leadership in delivering high-quality financial management supporting with projects reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support finance projects including implementation of a new Accounts Payable system and dashboard development.
- Lead month-end reporting and assist with year-end and statutory accounts preparation.
- Produce VAT returns tax analyses and management accounts.
- Manage purchase and nominal ledgers partner payments and payroll assistance.
- Conduct WIP reviews and support fee earner target setting.
- Oversee budget preparation and audit processes.
- Manage and develop direct reports within the finance team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement across finance operations.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial regulations.
- Proven experience in financial and management accounting.
- Team leadership and people management experience.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
Qualifications:
- Accounting qualification (ACA ACCA CIMA or equivalent) desirable but not essential.
