Job Title: District Math Interventionist (612)
Location: Leadership Prep Schools Districtwide
Reports To: Chief Academic Officer

Overview
Leadership Prep Schools is seeking a passionate and data-driven Math Interventionist to join our district team. This educator will provide targeted small-group instruction to K12 students who are performing below grade level in mathematics. The ideal candidate will be skilled in identifying learning gaps implementing research-based interventions and collaborating with teachers to ensure every student achieves math success on Texas TEKS grade level standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Targeted Instruction: Deliver direct small-group math instruction tailored to students individual needs and skill gaps.
- Assessment: Use formal and informal assessments to identify students needing support and guide instructional planning.
- Collaboration: Partner with classroom teachers to co-plan lessons align interventions with grade-level curriculum and share effective strategies.
- Progress Monitoring: Track student achievement maintain detailed records and communicate progress to stakeholders including teachers administrators and families.
- Strategy Development: Design and implement intervention plans using manipulatives technology and hands-on activities to build foundational skills and grade-level mastery.
- Data Analysis: Analyze student performance data to inform instruction and adjust intervention strategies. Tracking students individual learning progressions on State standards using multiple data points.
- Campus Support: Participate in campus-wide initiatives such as the Response to Intervention (RtI) committee and contribute to the development of school-wide MTSS intervention programs as directed by the Chief Academic Officer.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelors degree in Education Mathematics or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Certification: Valid Texas teaching certificate.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience preferably with experience in math intervention or instructional support roles.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of math pedagogy TEKS standards and intervention resources.
- Skills: Exceptional communication collaboration and organizational skills. Ability to engage students using differentiated instruction and technology tools.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Identify and support students performing 1.5 grade levels below in math.
- Demonstrate measurable growth in student math proficiency through regular progress monitoring.
- Increase student engagement and confidence in math through innovative instructional strategies.
