Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

TeHerenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for an inspiring Programme Lead to design and deliver an exciting new pilot the Vice Chancellors Leadership Programme on a fixed-term full-time basis until December 2026.

This one-year pilot programme will empower 4550 high-potential leaders that areundergraduate students from diverse backgrounds to lead with integrity tackle complex challenges and prepare them to make a lasting positive impact on Aotearoa-New Zealand and the world. As Programme Lead youll shape every part of the journey from co-creating the curriculum and coordinating engaging events to building strong stakeholder relationships and evaluating the programmes success.

Ō pūmanawa - About you

Key requirements:

  • A background in leadership development education or programme management.
  • A strategic mindset and strong facilitation skills.
  • A proven background in event and project management.
  • Experience working with students and/or young adults.
  • A commitment to diversity inclusion and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • A collaborative spirit and excellent relationship-building abilities especially with senior external partners.
  • Someone with a sixth sense of knowing what to do and when to make that positive difference in the life journey of a student.
