Pay Range is the entire compensation range for the position.
The Community Engagement Manager for Adult Services will facilitate systemwide adult services specifically designed to meet current and emerging community needs including digital literacy employment assistance services and community building. Incumbent will also plan organize and participate in various community engagement events often in concert with community partners and stakeholders.
This position may be required to work rotating shifts including evenings and weekends.
Essential Functions:

Develops implements and manages community engagement programs and initiatives in alignment with department goals and priorities;
Manages and administers operational and program activities supporting community engagement and evaluates program effectiveness and success;
Develops and maintains effective working relationships with other county departments public and private agencies organizations and groups to achieve program goals and objectives;
Oversees communication efforts with community members working collaboratively with marketing and support teams and serving as a program contact person associated with community awareness activities;
Reviews and analyzes routine and special reports detailing the status and/or success of the program prepares recommendations and/or initiates corrective action;
Develops writes and administers the programs annual budget prepares program-related financial forecasts and identifies funding sources to support program activities;
Develops negotiates monitors and administers contracts intergovernmental agreements and/or financial and service agreements for the program managed;
Analyzes federal state and local legislation and ensures program compliance with applicable regulations and policies;
Directs organizational and management studies for the purpose of identifying problems and alternative solutions to the problems;
Supervises and mentors program staff and volunteers providing guidance support and professional development opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a program-related field as defined by the appointing authority at the time of recruitmentANDfour (4) years of professional level experience in coordinating monitoring administering or managing program or specialized work unit activities.
(Relevant professional level experience and/or education from an accredited college or university may be substituted.)
OR:
Four (4) years of experience with Pima County in a professional administrative classification and at least one year in a supervisory capacity.

Preferred Qualifications: (Be specific in describing your experience in your application. Ensure the descriptions provided illustrate your competencies specifically addressing the required and preferred qualifications.):
Minimum two (2) years creating and/or delivering programming specifically designed for adult audiences.
Minimum two (2) years cultivating and managing community partnerships.
Masters degree in library and information science.
Minimum three (3) years working in public libraries.
Selection Procedure:
Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications. All applications will be assessed based on an evaluation of the listed education and experience. Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications may be further evaluated/scored against any advertised Preferred Qualifications. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources. Additional assessments/testing may be required as part of the selection process.

Licenses and Certificates:Valid driver license is required at time of application.ValidAZdriver license is required at time of appointment. The successful applicant will be subject to a 39-month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review to determine applicants suitability to operate county vehicles in accordance with Pima County administrative procedures. Failure to obtain and maintain the required licenses and certifications shall be grounds for termination. Any offer of employment resulting from this recruitment is contingent upon Fleet Services review and approval of the candidates driving record.
