A warm Sutton primary is seeking a skilled Reception Teacher to provide an excellent Early Years start for children from January 2026. The successful Reception Teacher will create a language-rich environment lead systematic phonics and design high-quality continuous provision. The Reception Teacher will be involved in pre-term planning before January 2026 attend induction in January 2026 and begin teaching from January 2026.
Reception Teacher required - Full-Time with a January 2026 start.

Reception Teacher will be supported by experienced Early Years colleagues and receive ongoing CPD from January 2026.
Reception Teacher Responsibilities
The Reception Teacher will: lead daily systematic phonics and story sessions as the Reception Teacher; design indoor and outdoor provision that promotes vocabulary and independence as the Reception Teacher; assess children against the Early Learning Goals and report to families as the Reception Teacher. The Reception Teacher will prepare transition materials for Year 1 and contribute to whole-school life as the Reception Teacher. Preparation for the role will take place ahead of January 2026 and the Reception Teacher will be in class from January 2026.
Reception Teacher Requirements
We are looking for a Reception Teacher with QTS/EYTS (or equivalent) strong EYFS knowledge and confidence in phonics delivery. The Reception Teacher should be reflective organised and able to collaborate with teaching assistants and families. Availability for pre-term planning before January 2026 induction in January 2026 and a full-time start from January 2026 is essential.
