The Role

As an Accounts Manager youll take responsibility for a diverse client portfolio of limited companies partnerships and sole traders alongside managing your own team. Youll have the autonomy to manage your clients proactively supported by an experienced and collaborative team of Directors/Partners.

This is a client and team management focused position with an emphasis on advising clients and reviewing work prepared by more junior members of the team but you will be required to get involved with more complex accounts preparation work when your expertise is needed.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing a varied client portfolio ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and management accounts
Overseeing accounting preparation bookkeeping and VAT returns
Preparing and submitting corporate and personal tax returns
Providing excellent client service and acting as a key point of contact for queries
Supporting partners on ad hoc projects and contributing to firm-wide initiatives
Helping to develop and maintain strong client relationships to support business growth

Requirements

ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
Minimum 5 years experience within an accountancy practice
Previous experience as a Client Manager Accounts Manager or Team Leader
Strong working knowledge of accounts preparation management accounts tax and VAT
Previous experience reviewing work prepared by more junior members of staff
Excellent communication and organisational skills

Required Skills:

For this fantastic Semi Senior opportunity in Wokingham you may be an AAT studying and/or perhaps studying ACCA or looking to build further on your experience following qualifying AAT with a background in accountancy practice with at least 2 - 4 years or more experience within practice preparing accounts tax and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders partnerships and limited companies.
