Paradigm is looking for a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to support the development testing and enhancement of our clients proprietary security solutions built this hands-on role youll collaborate with engineering teams to design and build custom hardware appliances applying your cybersecurity expertise where hardware meets software.

As a Cyber Security Engineer you will:
- Partner with hardware and software teams to evaluate security risks in open source architectures and custom components
- Provide actionable guidance to developers to strengthen platform security from development through production
- Utilize and maintain open-source intrusion detection systems (IDS) and intrusion prevention systems (IPS) tools to safeguard systems
- Monitor analyze and remediate vulnerabilities across our environment and product portfolio
- Develop scripts using Python and Bash to support security operations and automation
Requirements
Our skills and experience wish list includes:
- Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Computer Science Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10 years of cybersecurity experience ideally in embedded systems or application security
- Expertise with static/dynamic code analysis fuzzing reverse engineering and vulnerability scanning tools
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST OWASP and MITRE ATT&CK
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred: Experience with secure boot TPM HSM or board-level security implementations
- Preferred: Knowledge of protocols (SPI I2C UART CAN) and secure firmware update mechanisms
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools (e.g. JTAG logic analyzers)
- Certifications such as OSCP CEH or CISSP are a plus
