Lead Accountant SEC Reporting

Job Summary
This position will assist the SEC Reporting Team in preparing required periodic SEC Filings. The Lead Accountant will have strong analytical skills and be able to work both independently and as a member of cross-functional teams. The Lead Accountant will demonstrate excellent communication data gathering analysis reporting and process improvement skills.

Essential Functions

• Assist in preparation of certain schedules and disclosures used in SEC reporting (10-Q and 10-K)

• Prepare quarterly earnings releases in collaboration with the Investor Relations department

• Prepares thorough documentation to support SEC accounting schedules and workpapers.

• Analyzes peer disclosures and identifies reporting trends and areas of improvement.

• Suggests enhancements in department processes and procedures to increase efficiency and/or improve customer service.

• Assists with various aspects of the yearly audit.

• Assists with the implementation of various accounting standards and any impacts to financial statements and disclosures

• Develops a good understanding of Keys organization and products.

• Continues to develop knowledge base on existing and emerging issues in both accounting and banking.

• Other duties as assigned by management

Education

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)

Work Experience

• 1-3 years of financial reporting public accounting or other relevant experience

Physical Demands

• General Office - Prolonged sitting ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients frequent use of PC/laptop occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks computer bags up to 10 lbs.
