The Job

Harness is seeking a Principal Product Manager to drive critical capabilities in our CI/CD solution enhancing our position as the leading Software Delivery Platform for millions of developers.

In this role you will own technical end-to-end product initiativesfrom identifying user needs and defining requirements to overseeing development and ensuring successful delivery. Youll work closely with engineering teams to guide product development ensuring technical feasibility and high-quality execution while collaborating across departments to foster innovation and efficiently solve complex software delivery challenges.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role with a strong focus on technical execution. You will partner directly with engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that address real-world challenges in software delivery driving tangible improvements in the development process

About the role

The successful candidate will partner with customers sales and product teams to define and build impactful Platform capabilities
Be data-driven
Be hands-on and excited to dive in with Engineering including building some quick automations write queries and more
Partner with Developer Relations Eng and Developer Advocacy teams to contribute to both internal and external content to help drive Harness Platform adoption
Write and manage detailed technical product requirements and specifications that can be directly utilized by engineering teams to implement features efficiently.
Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure technical feasibility and the timely delivery of high-quality features.
Engage with customers developers and internal stakeholders to gather requirements address pain points and drive continuous product improvement.
Use data and insights to drive both strategic product decisions and day-to-day execution balancing short-term needs with long-term innovation.
Contribute to product roadmap development by identifying and prioritizing new features and improvements based on customer feedback technical considerations and business goals.
Work alongside Developer Relations and Marketing to create content that drives adoption and educates users on new features and capabilities.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Developer Relations Marketing and other teams to create both internal enablement resources and external content that drive adoption and educate users on new features and capabilities.

Requirements

Must have

7 years of experience in Engineering / Software Development
3 years of experience in product management with SaaS / Cloud companies
Experience with Identity and Access Management Secret Management is desired
Experience with DevOps / Developer Tools
Experience in open source
Strong analytical skills and data-driven product decision-making mindset
Strong communication skills verbal and written
