Job Summary
Were looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join Business Transaction Banking (BTB) on a 9 month fixed term contract playing a critical role in ensuring Westpac meets its Visa Mastercard and Eftpos scheme obligations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and delivery-focused professional who thrives on turning complex compliance requirements into practical effective solutions.
Youll lead the definition and management of business requirements that underpin scheme-driven and compliance-related change embedding these into product and system delivery. Partnering closely with Product Technology Risk Legal and Operations teams youll help ensure BTB Payments operates within scheme and regulatory standards. From discovery through to design testing and validation youll drive initiatives that keep Westpac compliant efficient and future-ready.
- Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst ideally within payments banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of Visa Mastercard and/or Eftpos scheme obligations and compliance processes.
- Ability to translate complex scheme mandates into clear actionable business and functional requirements.
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end requirements across discovery design testing and delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across Product Technology and Risk.
- Strong documentation analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience contributing to continuous improvement and standardisation of BA practices.
