  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to influence change and enhance operational performance
  • Full time permanent position based out of our LAX hangar
  • $160000 - $180000USD per year (plus bonus)

As the Quality & Compliance Manager for LAX Line Maintenance Operations you will take on a key leadership role in shaping and delivering the safety quality and compliance strategy across our U.S. engineering operations. Youll be responsible for the end-to-end design implementation and continuous improvement of safety and quality management systemsensuring alignment with Qantas Engineerings Safety Management System (SMS) and all applicable regulatory frameworks.

In this role youll lead governance processes for change management risk mitigation and regulatory approvals across internal teams suppliers and external partners. As the custodian of safety and quality documentation for LAX LMO youll ensure full compliance with Qantas Engineering standards procedures and instructions. Youll also work closely with the broader Qantas Engineering Safety Quality & Compliance leadership team to ensure consistency and alignment across our global operations.
 

Youll have

  • 10 years experience in regulatory safety or compliance roles ideally within engineering.
  • Extensive experience with aviation safety and airworthiness regulations including CASA Civil Aviation Safety Regulations EASA standards and other National Aviation Authority frameworks.
  • Professional aviation management or safety qualifications including Lead Auditor is highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to lead a team across multiple projects or programs overseeing deliverables coaching to outcomes and ensuring best practices.
  • High levels of strategic thinking and demonstrated capability working in complex systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to deliver under pressure and manage time as needed.
  • Leadership capability in working autonomously across both strategic and tactical activities or in supporting and managing a team to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to work across varying time zones.
