We are seeking a strategic Medical Affairs leader to drive therapeutic area (TA) strategy and support the launch and commercialization of immunology products. This role leads the medical strategy across brands partners cross-functionally and manages a high-performing team including Scientific Advisors/Directors and an MSL Manager (with a field MSL team).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the Immunology medical strategy across the portfolio.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support peri-launch launch and ongoing commercialization activities.
- Serve as medical lead for TA medical plans life cycle strategies scientific communications and medical governance.
- Coach develop and manage a team of medical leaders and MSLs fostering a culture of collaboration scientific excellence and inclusion.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation capability building and strong cross-functional partnerships.
- Support compliance medical training funding requests (grants/sponsorship) and alignment with corporate policies.
Requirements
- PhD MD or equivalent in a scientific/medical discipline.
- 8 years of Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong communication strategic thinking and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in Immunology (dermatology gastroenterology rheumatology) strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel and work in a hybrid model (approx. 50% onsite in Toronto).
