Part-time Internship

Description

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Childrens Paradise Preschool! We have 7 locations in North County to choose from and

multiple age groups. All student volunteers will be paired with a Shadow Buddy or Mentor Teacher at one of our locations. These teachers

maintain the passion and expertise to help guide you during your service-learning. Your role will be to support the teachers in the classroom.

Here are some examples of the support needed:

Actively supervise children

Engage with children through play

Help gather/preparing materials

Implement fun activities

Maintain organization and cleanliness in classroom environment

Age Groups:

Infants (6 weeks to 18 months old)

Toddlers (18 months to 3 years old)

Pre-K (3-5 years old)

School Age (6-12 years old)

Get to know and interact with them through play.

Actively Supervise Children (review handout)

Meaningful Experiences

Collaborate with the teachers in creating intentional learning experiences for children.

Requirements

Requirements:

Current negative TB test (tuberculosis)

Proof of MMR (measles mumps rubella) and DTaP (diphtheria tetanus and whooping cough/pertussis) immunizations
