Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated experienced Senior Software Engineer to be an active participant in our Next Generation Radio Frequency Sensors team in McKinney TX.

What You Will Do

Participation in collaborative cross-disciplined integrated product teams often employing agile software development techniques and resources to plan design develop test and integrate complex software and systems solutions.
Responsible for some or all Software product contributing as a software team member and possibly instructing a small software team.
Responsibilities spanning the full lifecycle of product development from architecture and design through integration test and field support.
Provide operational support for the platform.
Occasional travel to support system integration and test customer events and related external activities.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
An active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience in software development in product engineering or RTOS environments.
Experience designing implementing and integrating platform infrastructure services using technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
Experience with programming/scripting languages (E.g. Python Java Ruby Bash C C# Go).

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with Networking and Hardware Installation.
Experience with Ansible (i.e. Ansible Playbook).
Experience deploying configuring and supporting CI/CD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira Confluence Bitbucket Jenkins Artifactory Gitlab).
Experience with troubleshooting applications & infrastructure services on Linux based Operating Systems.
Experience developing testing & delivering applications within a DevSecOps framework.
Experience with Agile lifecycle process including Scrum Continuous Integration and Test-Driven Development Methodologies.
Experience with UNIX Linux VxWorks INTEGRITY SYSBIOS or other RTOS.
Experience developing embedded software for sensors algorithm development signal or data processing preferred.

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD - 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
