The University of Iowa is seeking a dedicated and highly organized EOC Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of our Exercise Oncology Clinic. The EOC Coordinator will play a central role in managing clinic operations supervising student trainers and ensuring high-quality patient care. This position will oversee patient intake assessment and exercise programming while also supporting research activities and maintaining communication with referring providers. The coordinator will be instrumental in sustaining clinic infrastructure guiding student education and expanding the clinics reach across Iowa. This full-time position is integral to maintaining the clinics excellence in patient care research and education. The coordinator will serve as the central point of contact for patients students and staff ensuring seamless service delivery and operational efficiency.
This is a one-year specified term position with the possibility of extension based on EOC staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison for oncology patients participating in exercise interventions.
Coordinate personalized care plans and ensure timely follow-up.
Oversee undergraduate and graduate student involvement in clinic activities.
Provide mentorship and training to ensure quality service and educational outcomes.
Use critical thinking skills and professional judgment to apply information to address health issues.
Complete fitness evaluations based on patients risk stratification.
Provide an accurate risk assessment based on data obtained.
Participate in design and implementation of research projects.

Education Required:
Bachelors degree in Exercise Science Health Promotion Public Health or related field.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of two to three years experience working in exercise-based clinical wellness or rehabilitation settings.
Direct experience working with cancer patients or survivors in a clinical research or supportive care capacity.
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills are required.
Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Masters degree in a health-related field.
ACS/ACSM Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer (CET) certification or willingness to obtain certification within 3 months of hire.
Experience working in university-based clinical or research settings.
Experience in research and/or recruitment of human subjects for research projects is desirable.
Experience in supervising undergraduate students is desirable.
