Job Summary
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Accountant will process journal entries prepare monthly reconciliations on accounts and related accounting documentation. Maintains fixed assets and depreciation of accounts. Produces monthly financial statements. Responsible for bank reconciliations cash transactions and other general accounting functions. Accountant provides excellent customer service to employees and vendors in all situations. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Indiana Grand Racing & Casino policies and procedures Internal Control Standards and Indiana Gaming Regulations.
QUALFICATIONS
Bachelor of Arts/Science in Accounting or Finance is preferred as well as one to three (1-3) years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age or older and be able to obtain an Indiana Gaming and Horse Racing License(s). Must possess good interpersonal skills. Be available to work any shift weekends and holidays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Also required are frequent standing walking stooping bending reaching climbing steps and sitting.
