The Resource Coordinator at the Mission Family Community Center (MFCC) is responsible for supporting the oversight of facility operations (buildings and grounds) program development (serving the entire household) and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable families through a holistic and trauma informed lens. The MFCC serves as a dynamic hub for families to connect to essential resources supports and community partners.


The Resource Coordinator will stay current on challenges families are facing to better meet the evolving needs of the community and serve as a resource hub to VOA Colorado Programs. Service modalities include Trauma Informed Care Harm Reduction Motivational Interviewing and Crisis De-escalation


Job duties include supporting and coordinating with other staff members in the delivery of appropriate support services for participants experiencing homelessness maintaining the safety and well-being of all participants maintaining the cleanliness of the facility helping to plan and host special events and ensuring program accountability professional interaction/communication between VOAC staff clients volunteers third party entities and collaborators and maintaining client files and program data entry/ maintenance. Further the Mission Resource Coordinator will develop expertise on family support services and resources to best match families.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Participant-Centered Services

Ensure participants voices are heard and their ideas inform program development.

Complete family intake and match family to appropriate resources.

Support staff in delivering holistic family-centered services to families.

Demonstrate deep knowledge of participant-specific resources and commitment to service.


Facility & Safety Management

Oversee daily facility operations to maintain a safe clean professional and welcoming environment.

Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all participants; manage the milieu de-escalate conflicts and contact emergency personnel when needed.

Conduct building walk-throughs enforce rules and submit maintenance service requests inventory supplies.


Community Engagement & Partnerships

Build and sustain strong relationships with both internal partners and community partners to expand access to food household needs housing employment legal aid benefits parenting support and other essential services.

Support special events that promote community engagement and connect families to resources.


Program Administration & Accountability

Maintain accurate client records and ensure timely data entry in organizational systems.

Possess in-depth knowledge of program requirements and best practices in service delivery.

Support colleagues by problem-solving and staying informed on current trends in the field.

Uphold confidentiality and collaborate effectively across teams.

Perform duties in alignment with the Social Work Code of Ethics.


Front Desk & Volunteer Coordination

Complete front desk responsibilities including answering calls returning messages greeting guests completing intakes matching clients to services clothing closet and coordinating with case managers.

Assist by mentoring volunteers/

Interact professionally with all stakeholders and resolve conflicts as needed.


Resource & Inventory Management

Receive document organize and distribute donations appropriately.

Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and resources.


General Duties

Attend staff meetings Volunteer meetings and other required gatherings.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Competencies

Models core culture attributes of VOAC that include AIRS (Accountability Integrity Respect and Service).

Models and VOACs three critical virtues of HHS (Hungry Humble People Smart).


Outcomes

Will support the engagement of 20 internal and external partnerships by 6.30.26 to support family needs such as but not limited to: Financial education and health nutrition education health education physical health parenting support housing insecurity employment needs Youth groups and basic need distributions to include; food formula household personal care diapers and clothing.

Serve 50 individuals at each dinner service (13000 dinners a year.)

Prevent 200 unduplicated households from eviction by 6.30.26

Enroll 200 unduplicated families in DHS benefits by 6.30.26.

Serve 100 families through parent education by 6.30.26.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have any supervisory requirements.


Pay Range: $19.00-$21.00/hr


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements.

Ability to visually and auditorily supervise the milieu.

Ability to move quickly and safely complete perimeter checks and in cases of an emergency initiate lockouts.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. 10 to 15 times per day.

Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of day if needed.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

PT hourly.

Typically Sunday-Thursday: Sunday 11:00am 6:30pm Monday 12:00pm-6:30pm Tuesday 12:00pm6:30pm; Wednesday 12:30pm-6:30pm Thursday 12:30pm-6:30pm.

Work hours may vary to fulfill program objectives with appropriate notice.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications of Position

Associate degree in a related area or equivalent experience in human services.

One-year direct human service or customer service experience or equivalent experience.

Willing to obtain first aid automated external defibrillator and cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications and keep current.

Criminal and civil background checks within 30 days of hire.


Preferred Qualifications of Position

Experience working with under-resourced families managing family/youth programs working with behavioral health concerns and case management experience.

Administrative experience and/or milieu management.

Crisis intervention skills.

Bilingual English and Spanish


Knowledge and Skills

Strong written oral and interpersonal communication skills.

High level of competency working with Microsoft Office suite TEAMS and cloud-based applications.

Strong time management and prioritization skills.

Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to respectfully and professionally serve and work alongside individuals hailing from diverse backgrounds cultures ideologies and religions.

Ability to apply appropriate self-care in the face of often difficult and/or traumatic situations which are commonly present while working with persons in need of services.
