POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Records Secretary processes all student data for updating student records using Skyward Student Management System. They schedule enrollment appointments for new students. The Records Secretarymaintains student educational/accounting records. They process diplomas transcript requests and graduation verifications. The Records Secretary submits State of Michigan immunization reporting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Skyward Student Management System preferred. Must possess excellent communication problem solving time management interpersonal and organizational skills. Must have the ability to maintain accurate and confidential records. Must possess accuracy and efficiency in work habits demonstrating the ability to work in a team setting as well as independently. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with various office personnel staff administration community officials parents and students. Must possess the ability to meet stringent deadlines. Must possess the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time. Must have a competent use of the English language.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Process all student data for updating student records using Skyward Student Management System. Schedule enrollment appointments for new students. Maintain student educational/accounting records. Organize clerical functions relating to grade reporting. Input Summer School grades as well as grades for off-site programs. Process diplomas transcript requests and graduation verifications. Transcribe transcripts for new students into the student management system. Submit State of Michigan immunization reporting. Assist in all aspects of the scheduling process. Prepare student count and auditing packet for student count. Prepare state reports as required by the Pupil Accountant. Assist with the back to school process. Other duties as assigned by the Principal and/or Assistant Principal.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma and/or related experience.
LANGUAGE MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING SKILLS: Ability to speak and write effectively. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
