Job Summary

SpecialtyCare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced operations leader to join our team as a Director of Operations! If you have experience in financial management and operations in healthcare (preferred) or multi-state operations this role could be the next step in your career. We are seeking a goal-driven and ambitious leader to join one of the top organizations in the industry. You will have the opportunity to work remotely with travel expected.

You will provide leadership to clinical managers and clinical associates in the delivery of clinically excellent and efficient healthcare services to clients while also being accountable for the clinical operational and financial management of assigned markets to meet or exceed clinical quality engagement efficiency and financial targets and to comply with all applicable regulatory requirements. You will also lead account management activities for assigned accounts and markets supporting business development and driving cross-sale opportunities for new services in existing accounts.

Some Essential Job Functions Include:

  • Responsible for the operational accountability for all service delivery in the assigned market(s).
    • Managing the day-to-day operational requirements including credentialing of associates meeting daily client needs and supporting Clinical Managers with scheduling.
    • Managing budgeted financial targets including inventory equipment labor travel and other expenses.
    • Managing targeted staffing and productivity levels.
    • Addressing client or physician needs in a timely and complete fashion.
    • Ensuring compliance with:
      • The Joint Commission requirements
      • The Companys policies and standards
      • Applicable policies at the account(s) and
      • Other applicable regulatory requirements.
    • Working collaboratively with Business Development team to grow market and support enterprise-wide growth targets through identifying cross sale penetration opportunities.
    • Working directly with Region President to assure renewals of all existing contracts in a timely fashion.
  • Manage the budgeting planning and management of the financial operations for all programs in assigned market(s) including:
    • Compiling financial clinical productivity quality inventory asset management and other business reports for the assigned market(s).
    • Analyzing financial reports and directs operational processes to meet or exceed budget.
    • Analyzing productivity reports and directs scheduling and staffing processes to meet or exceed targeted results.
    • Developing and implements operational improvement processes to continuously meet or exceed targeted financial results.
    • Conducting business reviews quarterly with all clients and has regular on-site relationship management meetings on a monthly basis.
    • Driving penetration and appropriate revenue margins.
  • Responsible for delivery of contracted services and building relationships with physicians operating room staff and customers including hospital administrators and hospital materials management and billing employees.
  • Direct employment activities of clinical associates in the market(s).
  • Collaborate to ensure that national operational clinical quality targets are met.
  • Collaborate with Service Line leadership and Business Development on growth.
  • Allocation of time should include:
    • 60% Operations 40% account management/growth 20% administrative.
    • 30% Financial responsibilities Profit & Loss Management.
    • 10% Quality and Clinical Excellence
  • Perform clinical work as available and as needed (if qualified).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a related field
  • Masters degree preferred

Experience:

  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of overall related experience desired.
  • At least five (5) years of operational and financial management experience in healthcare or multi-state operations.
  • Experience as a clinical leader or senior manager over multiple locations or large hospital system preferred.
  • Experience with contract management of clinical services to hospitals and other health care systems preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
