Job Summary

Deputy General Manager Luxury Lodge Ceres Western Cape

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and professional Deputy General Manager to join a luxury lodge in Ceres Western Cape. This live-in role offers a key leadership opportunity to support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in managing all aspects of lodge operations including front-of-house housekeeping food and beverage and guest services

  • Lead mentor and motivate staff across all departments to maintain high standards of service and professionalism

  • Ensure compliance with health safety and hygiene regulations throughout the lodge

  • Support budgeting cost control and financial reporting to maintain operational efficiency and profitability

  • Oversee guest relations handling enquiries feedback and resolving issues promptly and professionally

  • Collaborate with department heads to implement operational policies procedures and quality standards

  • Drive initiatives to enhance guest experience staff engagement and overall lodge performance

  • Act as the General Manager in their absence making operational decisions and maintaining standards

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior management or Deputy General Manager role within luxury hospitality

  • Strong leadership organisational and communication skills

  • Commercially aware with experience managing budgets costs and operational efficiency

  • Professional proactive and guest-focused approach

  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards

  • Willingness to live and work in a remote lodge environment

Package:

  • Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

  • Live-in position
