Summary:

Lead the design documentation and deployment of AI algorithms and models using industry-standard methods and tools.
Ensure AI model development considers ethical implications data integrity and bias mitigation.
Guide a small technical team to meet milestones and deliver high-quality AI-enabled software solutions.
Collect preprocess and analyze large datasets to identify trends ensure data reliability and enhance model accuracy.
Train evaluate and optimize AI models for performance scalability and reliability in production environments.
Conduct Safety Risk Management processes for AI models in accordance with organizational standards.
Monitor and improve deployed AI systems to ensure ongoing performance and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and CI/CD groups to integrate AI into software development and testing.
Research and implement emerging AI technologies frameworks and regulatory standards.
Communicate technical progress challenges and solutions effectively to leadership.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree and typically 7 years of related software engineering experience or an equivalent combination (PhD 3 years Masters 5 years).
Proficiency in C C Python or modern programming languages.
Experience with AI frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow PyTorch) and automated testing tools (e.g. Google Test PyTest).
Strong understanding of data preprocessing model optimization and AI system integration.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI/CD) and workflow automation.
Excellent leadership problem-solving and communication skills.
Team-oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with AI algorithms tools or avionics software (e.g. ADA).
Knowledge of HIL integration and testing methodologies.
Research or publications in AI software development are a plus.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance if sponsored.
