| POSITION SUMMARY |
- Responsible for recruiting teaching and coaching student athletes in the sport of swimming and in specific cases diving.
|
| ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS |
- Instructs student-athletes in the rules techniques and equipment to become better swimmers or divers.
- Organizes and directs individual and group practice activities off campus with a specified training facility.
- Monitoring student-athletes during practices and competitions.
- The coach must also be capable of completing essential paperwork assigned by the Athletic Director and school system.
- The coach must also attend assigned rules clinics assigned by the Virginia High School League on a yearly basis.

| EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE |
- Previous coaching experience is preferred.
- Experience in swimming meets and techniques is essential.

| KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES |
- Must have completed or completed a mandatory coaches certification under the Virginia High School League.
|
| SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY |
|
| TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS |
- Minimal travel may be required to and/or from sporting events within neighboring localities.
|
