Department: Workplace Violence Prevention (WVP) Team
Weekly Hours: 12-20 hours
Reports To: Director Workplace Violence Prevention Program
Position Summary:
The Administrative Intern will support strategic initiatives of the Workplace Violence Prevention (WVP) Team including de-escalation training data analysis and policy review. This role offers hands-on experience in healthcare operations safety strategy and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis - Analyze data streams to identify workplace violence trends and develop summary tables.
- Coordinate AVADE de-escalation training logistics (room booking HLC offerings supply management).
- Identify gaps and misalignments in existing policies and procedures; support revision process in collaboration with WVP Team.
- Assist in creating and implementing WVP resources for leaders and front-line staff.
Learning Opportunities:
- Gain exposure to a system-wide program focused on safety and security of all employees patients and visitors.
- Participate in de-escalation and WVP training sessions.
- Contribute to the development of violence risk screening tools and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in Public Health Healthcare Administration or related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Interest in workplace safety healthcare operations and policy development.
