Shift: Day Shift 3x12-Hour (7:00 AM 7:30 PM)

Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses (RNs) to join a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department team. The RN will also float to Pediatric ED and other cross-campus Emergency Departments as needed.
Ideal candidates will have Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience and a strong background in both adult and pediatric emergency care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a high-acuity trauma-focused environment while delivering compassionate evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department.
Triage assess plan implement and evaluate patient care based on acuity and clinical presentation.
Administer medications perform diagnostic testing and manage emergency interventions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
Accurately document all care and patient interactions in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Float between Adult and Pediatric Emergency Departments and other emergency care units as needed.
Work every other weekend and some holidays as scheduled.
Qualifications:
Active New York RN License required.
BLS certification (AHA) required and must maintain eligibility for renewal.
Minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of comparable size and level.
Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers preferred.
EPIC EMR experience preferred.
Must possess strong clinical assessment critical thinking and communication skills.
Must not have had any license or certification suspended or under investigation.
Must not have been named in any professional liability claim.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must successfully pass pre-employment health screening background check and drug screening.
Duties and Expectations:
Perform majority of patient care skills independently with minimal orientation.
Exhibit excellent clinical judgment and adaptability in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Demonstrate professionalism teamwork and commitment to patient safety and quality care.
