Job Summary

Heres What You Need
Nursing Diploma
Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
BSN preferred
One-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program.
One year of post - surgical experience strongly preferred
BCLS - prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly


What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift inter-hospital and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

Work hours:PRN Nights (varied hours) as needed weekend and holiday requirements
Department highlights:
16-bed Surgical unit fast paced quick turnover
Experience with tele surgical preferred - primary surgical unit and take med/surg overflow
1:4 patient ratio at times 1:5
