Why this role is important to us
The Financial Controlling function is a part of theGlobal Finance Management organization. Together weare responsible foraccounting financial controlling consolidationtaxandtransfer-pricing.
As a Senior Financial Controller you will manage the financial reporting and controlling activities forentitieslocatedinLatinAmerica regionensuring compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
What you willbe responsible for
Using your Spanish language skills (minimum B2 level) to effectively collaborate with local stakeholders navigate country-specific financial regulations and support accurate and timely reporting
Ensuring financial reporting in accordancewith IFRS Group accounting requirements and local accounting principles if applicable
Participating in financial month-end closing preparation of year-end reporting to parent company andbeing responsible forkey areas of accounting
Performing analytical reviews of reported results following up onconclusionsand taking ownership in controlling activities
Ensuring good internal controls in global financial processes and optimizations using analyses and systems
Performing controlling reviews of accounting journal entries
Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
Reviewing entriesregardingsetup of new contracts or new business assets
Control over local tax and VAT reporting
Supporting the Group and local audit including preparing documentation for the audit
Preparation of local annual accounts in cooperation with external advisors
Communicating and collaborating with colleagues throughoutSimCorpsGlobal Finance Management organization
Participating in various finance projects and ad hoc tasks (incl. financial system amendments related to legislation requirements e.g. e-invoicing)

Agood command of Spanish and EnglishatminimumB2 level
Be eager to work with monthlyquarterlyand annual closings and financial reporting in an international company
Have a minimum 5 years of experience with financial controlling
It is beneficial if you have experience as an auditor from an international company
Have solid IFRS knowledge and be familiar with annual reporting under IFRS
Thrive in a busy environment with focus on meeting deadlines
Be able to work with ERP a system and to be an experienced user of Excel
Experience withSAPWorkday Adaptive Planning is beneficial but not a requirement
On a personal level you can keep a sense of perspective have a positive mindset and are familiar with solving both complex issues and daily hands-on tasks with high quality. You like to work in a structured and independent manner with attention to detail accuracy addition you are service-minded and team-oriented and both engaged and committed.
Quarterly and yearly financial reporting are peak times for us and some overtime should be expected. Work-life balance is important and we offer flexibility in reconciling work and private life.
