Company Description

Our client is seeking a highly motivated hands-on leader to take their team and organization to the next level! As they continue to grow and expand their operations here in Southern California they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Human Resources to lead their HR department and support their employees in achieving their full potential.

Position Overview:

The Head of Human Resources will play a critical role in driving the success of our organization by overseeing all aspects of human resources management. Reporting directly to the CEO the Head of HR will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with the companys objectives and foster a positive and productive work environment. This individual will lead a team of 2 direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the companys overall objectives and promote employee engagement retention and development.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team fostering a culture of collaboration accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee all aspects of talent acquisition including recruitment selection and onboarding processes to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify training and development needs and implement programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Lead efforts to ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Manage employee relations issues including investigations disciplinary actions and conflict resolution in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Partner with operations managers and other key stakeholders to address workforce planning and staffing needs to support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in HR management and proactively recommend changes or enhancements to HR policies and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations particularly related to manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading HR initiatives including talent acquisition employee relations performance management and organizational development.
  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • SHRM certification preferred.
